The Way of Buddha is long and arduous. The fruit of practice is tasteless and immeasurable. Both arise in this very moment. We are already intimate with it!
It surely doesn’t feel this way all the time – let me rephrase that: most of the time. And when it doesn’t, the following poem from Rumi brings great inspiration. His compassion lights the way.
I offer this poem to you! May you be happy and peaceful!
Come, come, whoever you are.
Wonderer, worshiper, lover of leaving.
It doesn’t matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow
A thousand times.
Come, yet again, come, come.
